He has held governance roles with Westpac, QBE, and BPAY, NSW transport agencies and TAFE NSW, and led the School of Business at Le Cordon Bleu Australia. In addition to his work in Australia, Julien has academic and government professional experience in France, Canada, and Belgium.

He holds a PhD in philosophy and qualifications in corporate governance, finance, data science, and project management. Julien is an Associate Member of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Chartered Secretary.
